Medical review process

This site carries health-adjacent content for families, which makes it "your money or your life" content by Google's definition. Here is exactly how that content is produced, and where we are not yet where we want to be.

Disclosure: named external reviewers are not yet onboarded.

Until they are, we do not publish individual doctor or nurse names next to articles. Articles carry the editorial byline and a statement that they were checked against published guidance. We would rather show an honest gap than a fabricated credential. Named reviewers with verifiable credentials will be listed here when they join.

How an article is produced

Step 1

Written by people who know the work

Articles are drafted by our editorial team with input from experienced care professionals — people who have run home-care shifts, handled discharge planning and trained attendants. Drafts are written for one decision a family has to make, not for a keyword.

Step 2

Checked against published guidance

Safety, hygiene and clinical-adjacent claims are checked against WHO, Ministry of Health and family-caregiving guidance from established institutions, and linked in the article so a reader can go to the source.

Step 3

Reviewed before publication

Every article is read for accuracy, plain language and risk before it goes live: does it advise a non-professional to do a clinical task, does it promise a result, does it state an unverified figure as fact.

Step 4

Dated, versioned and updated

Each article shows its author, reviewer where a named reviewer exists, review date and last-updated date. Safety-critical articles are re-read at least annually.

Step 5

Corrected in public

If something material was wrong, we correct the page, move the date and describe the change. Requests go through the grievance officer.

Editorial red lines

  • No diagnosis, no treatment plan, no dosage.
  • No "cure", no fear-based selling, no miracle claims.
  • No invented credentials — a missing reviewer is stated as missing, not filled with a name.
  • No payment for coverage, ranking or inclusion in the matcher.
  • No hospital or clinic names anywhere on the site.

What this site is not

It is not a doctor, a nurse, a pharmacy or an ambulance. Nothing here diagnoses a condition, changes a medicine, or replaces advice from a qualified professional who can see your parent. Where an article touches a symptom, treatment or medication, it says to talk to your doctor — and it stops there.

If you disagree with something published here, or you hold credentials you would like to contribute, write to the grievance officer or ourcontact page.
